About
I have been taking photos on and off since I was about 10 when I took two rolls of film on a Kodak Brownie of the icicles in the farmer's field behind our home. My parents rightly thought I could do better with a real camera. Since then, mostly self taught with two classes at the International Center of Photography years ago.
Caution has doomed many to mediocrity. Finding the characters who risk money, health, reputation, and whatever else to pursue what they care about is what truly excites me. Their enthusiasm is contagious and their happiness feeds my own. My recent projects are about those that make themselves uncomfortable, scared, tired, and at risk to pursue their passions.
I live in Brooklyn NY with my family and our over-energetic Portuguese Water Dog, Rio. After twenty years on Wall Street, my current day job is running the Finance department of a really cool start-up.
