In 2017, after years of incredibly hard work, I was able to step away from work for two weeks and travel with the family. The trip began with a U2 concert in NJ, but the next day we were off. We flew into Denver, drive to Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and made our way into South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. We stopped in the Badlands, the Black Hills, saw July 4th fireworks in Lead, SD, over a giant mine, were stunned by the austerity and heat of the Little Bighorn battle monument, experienced an earthquake, visited friends in Missoula, hiked an amazing trail in Glacier National park and swam in bitter cold glacial lakes, and traversed Yellowstone on the way back to the airport. It was a stunning and amazing journey. All photos taken on an iPhone.
